Missouri High School Basketball - Hillcrest sneaks past Branson

The Hillcrest Hornets (Springfield, MO) basketball edged the visiting Branson Pirates (Branson, MO), 60-53 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 17-6 record. They play next when they host West Plains for a Ozarks bout on Monday, February 24. Hillcrest will play a Zizzers team coming off a 69-47 non-league win over Carl Junction (Carl Junction, MO). The Zizzers record now stands at 17-8.
With the loss, Branson falls to 9-8 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to McDonald County (Anderson, MO) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 25. The Mustangs enter the outing with a record of 13-11. McDonald County won 58-50 in their recent league outing against Cassville (Cassville, MO)
