In Friday's non-league contest, the host Washington County Commanders basketball team scored a close 60-57 triumph over the Larue County Hawks.
The Commanders (8-20) will now prepare for their contest against Burgin (Burgin, KY). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 11-13 record.
In their next game, the Hawks battle the Hart County Raiders (Munfordville, KY) in a District 18 contest, on Tuesday, February 25. Larue County will attempt to better on its 6-15 season record. The Raiders go into the contest with a 4-24 record after their 59-55 non-league loss to Butler County (Morgantown, KY).
