Illinois High School Basketball - Saint Viator holds off Vernon Hills

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Saint Viator Lions basketball team scored a close 48-43 triumph over the Vernon Hills Cougars.

The Lions (20-13) will now prepare for their contest against Grayslake Central (Grayslake, IL). The Rams go into the non-league contest with a 26-5 record. In their last contest, Grayslake Central nipped Antioch (Antioch, IL), 56-36, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the North Chicago Warhawks (North Chicago, IL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 25. Vernon Hills will attempt to better on its 20-12 season record. The Warhawks go into the contest with a 0-20 record after their 45-4 non-league loss to Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL).
