Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (Winder, GA) and the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), saw Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy's soccer squad hold off Monroe Area by a count of 2-1.

The (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Clarke Central (Athens, GA). The Gladiators enter the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Clarke Central was edged by Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA), 8-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Purple Hurricanes battle the Seckinger Jaguars (Buford, GA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, February 25. Monroe Area will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Jaguars enter the battle with a 0-3 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to East Jackson (Commerce, GA).
