The Floydada Whirlwinds softball team scored 11 runs and held the host Hereford Whitefaces to 4 in the Whirlwinds non-league win on Friday.

The Whirlwinds now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kermit for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 22. Floydada will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Fort Stockton (Fort Stockton, TX). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Hereford moves to 5-8 on the season. The Whitefaces travel to Hanks (El Paso, TX) to confront the Knights in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 22. The Knights come into the battle with a record of 6-2. Hanks won 14-12 in their recent non-league battle against Franklin (El Paso, TX)
