The Sinton Pirates (Sinton, TX) baseball edged the visiting Robstown Cottonpickers (Robstown, TX), 9-8 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Pirates (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Palmview (La Joya, TX). The Lobos enter the non-league battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Palmview held off Cigarroa (Laredo, TX), 15-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Cottonpickers face the Orange Grove Bulldogs (Orange Grove, TX) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, February 24. Robstown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Poth (Poth, TX).
