Texas High School Softball - Shepherd bounces Rusk

In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Shepherd Pirates softball team scored a nice 10-2 win over the Rusk Eagles.

The Pirates (5-3) will now prepare for their match against Hudson (Lufkin, TX). The Hornets come into the non-league match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Hudson was routed by Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX), 6-3, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Elkhart Elks (Elkhart, TX) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, February 24. Rusk will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Elks enter the game with a 12-1 record after their 17-0 non-league win over Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX).
