The Independence Tigers got by the visiting Fisher Gators baseball team by a count of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sumner for a non-league bout on Friday, February 25. Independence will face a Cowboys team coming off a 18-4 non-league win over Varnado (Angie, LA). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-0.
Next, the Gators face the John Ehret Patriots (Marrero, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 24. Fisher will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Patriots enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to St. James (St. James, LA).
