Alhambra Bulldogs (Martinez, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Bulldogs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Las Lomas for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 24.
With the loss, El Cerrito falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Gauchos travel to Alameda (Alameda, CA) to battle the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Alameda lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Newark Memorial (Newark, CA)
