In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX), by a margin of 14-3.

With the triumph, Poth moves its record to 3-3 on the year. The Pirates travel to George West (George West, TX) to play the Longhorns in a non-league contest on Thursday, February 24.
