In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Norton Panthers (Norton, OH) basketball squad edged the host Firelands Falcons (Oberlin, OH), by a count of 38-37.
The Panthers (17-8) will now prepare for their outing against St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH). The Fighting Irish go into the non-league outing with a 19-4 record. In their last outing, St. Vincent-St. Mary held off Lutheran East (Cleveland Heights, OH), 61-28, in a non-league outing.
The Falcons now hold a 15-8 record.
