Port Barre Red Devils (Port Barre, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Rayne Wolves (Rayne, LA), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Red Devils now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host John Curtis Christian for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 24. Port Barre will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, LA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Rayne falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wolves host Leesville (Leesville, LA) to battle the Wampus Cats in a 4A District 3 challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Wampus Cats enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
