The Elgin Wildcats baseball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Connally Cadets to 1 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Thursday.
The Wildcats (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Lorena (Lorena, TX). The Leopards go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Lorena gained a win over La Vega (Waco, TX), 18-2, in a non-league match.
The Cadets (0-1) will now prepare for their match against University (Waco, TX). The Trojans go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, University was overwhelmed by Kerens (Kerens, TX), 11-2, in a non-league match.
