The Fairmont Cardinals basketball team (Fairmont, MN), dropped 62-54 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Belle Plaine Tigers (Belle Plaine, MN)
The Tigers now possess a 21-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial for a AA Section 2 battle on Friday, March 1. Belle Plaine will battle a Knights team coming off a 55-54 league loss to Central (Norwood-Young America, MN). The Knights record now stands at 23-4.
The Cardinals (12-13) will now prepare for their battle against St. James (St. James, MN). The Saints come into the AA Section 3 battle with a 5-23 record. In their last battle, St. James dropped by St. Peter (St. Peter, MN), 94-51, in a non-league match.
