The Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Cleveland Clippers to 65 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Buccaneers now sport a 13-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nicollet for a non-league contest on Friday, February 23. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown will battle a Raiders team coming off a 79-52 non-league loss to United South Central (Wells, MN). The Raiders record now stands at 0-26.
The Clippers (11-15) will now prepare for their contest against Le Sueur-Henderson (Le Sueur, MN). The Giants enter the non-league contest with a 14-11 record. In their last contest, Le Sueur-Henderson ran past New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (New Richland, MN), 79-57, in a non-league contest.
