The Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) basketball nipped the host Yough Cougars (Herminie, PA), 54-48 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Warriors (17-7) will now prepare for their test against Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA). The Bucs go into the non-league test with a 14-8 record. In their last test, Burrell got by Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 48-44, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 16-5 record.
