In Thursday's non-league test, the host Mauldin Mavericks lacrosse squad scored a tight 8-7 victory over the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets.
The Mavericks now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to River Bluff for a non-league test on Saturday, February 24. Mauldin will face a Gators squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Blythewood (Blythewood, SC). The Gators record now stands at 1-0.
In their next game, the Yellow Jackets face the Blythewood Bengals (Blythewood, SC) in a test, on Monday, February 26. Fort Mill will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Bengals come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 6-4 non-league loss to River Bluff (Lexington, SC).
