The Walnut Grove Wildcats softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting South Grand Prairie Warriors to 6 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Walnut Grove improves its record to 8-2 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Lovejoy (Lucas, TX) to clash with the Leopards in a non-league game on Friday, February 23. The Leopards come into the game with a record of 6-3. Lovejoy won 12-3 in their recent non-league game against Emerson (McKinney, TX)

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 23. South Grand Prairie will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Cardinals come into the game with a 7-0 record after their 5-2 non-league win over Southlake Carroll (Southlake, TX).
