In Saturday's non-league game, the host Biloxi Indians baseball team scored a close 7-5 victory over the East Central Hornets.
The Indians (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Petal (Petal, MS). The Panthers enter the non-league game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Petal held off Germantown (Madison, MS), 12-5, in a non-league game.
Next, the Hornets face the Long Beach Bearcats (Long Beach, MS) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, February 25. East Central will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Bearcats enter the game with a 2-3 record after their 6-4 non-league win over Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS).
