In Saturday's non-league bout, the Holden Rockets (Holden, LA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Independence Tigers (Independence, LA), by a tally of 18-3.
Next up, the Rockets encounter the St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 24. Holden will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 2-3 record after their 17-5 non-league win over False River (New Roads, LA).
The Tigers (0-4) will now prepare for their bout against Varnado (Angie, LA). The Wildcats enter the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Varnado was overwhelmed by Kentwood (Kentwood, LA), 24-0, in a non-league bout.
