In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Ridgeland Panthers baseball team scored a close 4-2 victory over the Portal Panthers.
The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (Fort Oglethorpe, GA). The Warriors enter the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe by Heritage (Ringgold, GA), 11-0, in a non-league game.
Next, the Panthers face the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) in a 1A D-II Area 3 game, on Tuesday, February 25. Portal will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Buccaneers enter the game with a 1-4 record after their 20-17 non-league loss to Liberty County (Hinesville, GA).
