The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the West Monroe Rebels (West Monroe, LA) and the visiting St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA), saw West Monroe's baseball team gain a win over St. Thomas More by a tally of 8-3.

The Rebels (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Byrd (Shreveport, LA). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, Byrd was overwhelmed by University Lab (Baton Rouge, LA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Cougars face the Central Catholic Eagles (Morgan City, LA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, February 24. St. Thomas More will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 2-6 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to South Beauregard (Longville, LA).
