With the victory, Benton advances its record to 26-4 on the year.
The Pirates now own a 5-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hardin County for a non-league battle on Monday, February 24. Pope County will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 64-54 non-league loss to Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 16-11.
