California High School Basketball - Downtown Magnets holds off Maywood Academy

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Downtown Magnets Suns basketball team scored a close 54-53 triumph over the Maywood Academy Nighthawks.

The Suns (21-7) will now prepare for their contest against Huntington Park (Huntington Park, CA). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Huntington Park nipped Mendez (Los Angeles, CA), 60-52, in a non-league contest.
