The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX) and the visiting Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX), observed Abernathy's softball team prevail over Estacado by a tally of 14-4.

The Antelopes (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Petersburg (Petersburg, TX). The Buffaloes go into the 1A Region I District 3 bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Petersburg was routed by Lubbock Christian (Lubbock, TX), 18-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Matadors clash with the Seminole Indians (Seminole, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 25. Estacado will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to Merkel (Merkel, TX).
