Mississippi High School Softball - Newton County bounces Lake

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Newton County Cougars softball team scored a nice 15-0 win over the Lake Hornets.
The Cougars (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Clarkdale (Meridian, MS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Clarkdale notched a victory over Union (Union, MS), 6-2, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Enterprise Bulldogs (Enterprise, MS) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 25. Lake will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 2-2 record after their 19-1 non-league win over Quitman (Quitman, MS).
