In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA), by a margin of 10-0.
With the triumph, Mater Dei moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Monarchs host Orange Lutheran (Orange, CA) to play the Lancers in a contest on Thursday, March 24. The Lancers come into the contest with a record of 2-1.
In their next game, the Eagles play the Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, March 10. El Segundo will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record.
