Salesian College Preparatory Pride (Richmond, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Justin-Siena Braves (Napa, CA), 12-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Pride now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Miramonte for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. Salesian College Preparatory will battle a Matadors squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Mt. Eden (Hayward, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Justin-Siena falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Braves host Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa, CA) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 28. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Cardinal Newman won 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Vincent de Paul (Petaluma, CA)
