North DeSoto Griffins (Stonewall, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX), 10-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, North DeSoto upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Griffins host Woodlawn-Shreveport (Shreveport, LA) to battle the Knights in a 4A District 1 test on Monday, March 6. The Knights come into the test with a record of 0-1.

With the defeat, Marshall falls to 0-2 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Minden (Minden, LA) to battle the Crimson Tide in a non-league test on Saturday, February 25. The Crimson Tide come into the test with a record of 0-2. Minden lost 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Ouachita Christian (Monroe, LA)
