    The Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) basketball beat the host Lincoln Charter Eagles (Denver, NC), 53-35 in Thursday's non-league outing.

    The Red Devils (25-4) will now prepare for their outing against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Cavaliers go into the non-league outing with a 25-2 record. In their last outing, East Burke defeated East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC), 68-51, in a non-league outing.

    The Eagles now hold a 21-5 record.
