The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX) and the host Centerville Tigers (Centerville, TX), saw Anderson-Shiro's softball squad nip Centerville by a count of 10-6.
The Fighting Owls now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alpha Omega Academy for a non-league match on Thursday, February 23. Anderson-Shiro will face a Lions squad coming off a 17-0 non-league win over St. John XXIII (Katy, TX). The Lions record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Centerville falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Caldwell (Caldwell, TX) to face the Hornets in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 7. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 2-2.
