In Thursday's non-league contest, the Richardson Eagles (Richardson, TX) softball team held off the visiting Gateway College Preparatory Gators (Georgetown, TX), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, Richardson moves its record to 3-4 on the year. The Eagles travel to Socorro (El Paso, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Friday, February 24. Gateway College Preparatory will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Bobcats come into the contest with a 5-3 record after their 14-9 non-league loss to Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX).
