The Hancock County Hornets basketball team (Lewisport, KY), was overwhelmed 83-40 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Grayson County Cougars (Leitchfield, KY)

The Cougars now possess a 17-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edmonson County for a District 12 battle on Tuesday, February 27. Grayson County will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 64-60 non-league loss to Breckinridge County (Harned, KY). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-14.

The Hornets (8-16) will now prepare for their battle against Meade County (Brandenburg, KY). The Green Waves come into the District 11 battle with a 14-15 record. In their last battle, Meade County was overwhelmed by Fairdale (Fairdale, KY), 89-41, in a non-league battle.
