Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA), 53-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Woodside upgrades its record to 25-1 on the season. The Wolverines host Kempsville (Virginia Beach, VA) to clash with the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 27. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 20-5. Kempsville lost 59-43 in their recent non-league bout against Green Run (Virginia Beach, VA)
