University Prep Griffins (Rochester, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets (Henrietta, NY), 58-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, University Prep upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Griffins travel to Aquinas Institute (Rochester, NY) to clash with the Little Irish in a non-league bout on Monday, February 26. The Little Irish go into the bout with a record of 16-4. Aquinas Institute won 81-60 in their recent non-league bout against McQuaid Jesuit (Rochester, NY)

Next up, the Royal Comets clash with the University Prep Charter Gator (Bronx, NY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 23. Rush-Henrietta will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Gator go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 72-63 non-league win over Bishop Kearney (Rochester, NY).
