In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Newhalen Malamutes basketball team scored a decisive 83-28 triumph over the Aniak Halfbreeds.
In their next game, the Malamutes face the Tuluksak Wolverines (Tuluksak, AK) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 24. Newhalen will attempt to move on its 23-0 season record. The Wolverines enter the match with a 1-15 record after their 33-8 non-league loss to Bristol Bay (Naknek, AK).
