Howell Highlanders (Howell, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Saline Hornets (Saline, MI), 52-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Howell upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Belleville (Belleville, MI) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 27. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 18-2. Belleville lost 57-46 in their recent non-league bout against Edison Academy (Detroit, MI)

Next up, the Hornets play the Skyline Eagles (Ann Arbor, MI) in a Southeastern - Red bout, on Tuesday, February 27. Saline will attempt to upgrade on its 16-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 6-15 record after their 48-31 league loss to Monroe (Monroe, MI).
