In Friday's non-league test, the visiting Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions lacrosse squad scored a tight 12-9 victory over the Independence Eagles.

The Lions now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to University School of Nashville for a TSLA 2AA/A Central test on Wednesday, February 28. Christ Presbyterian Academy will face a Tigers squad coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to Baylor (Chattanooga, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Hillsboro Burros (Nashville, TN) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, February 28. Independence will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Burros come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 17-7 non-league win over South Warren (Bowling Green, KY).
