Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Barbers Hill Eagles (Mt. Belvieu, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Frenship for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 23. Georgetown will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Barbers Hill falls to 10-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Bowie (Austin, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 10-3. Bowie won 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Rouse (Leander, TX)
