Crockett Cougars (Austin, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Marble Falls Mustangs (Marble Falls, TX), 9-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eastside Early College for a 5A Region III District 24 challenge on Friday, February 23. Crockett will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Marble Falls falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Northeast Early College (Austin, TX) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 23. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Northeast Early College lost 11-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Travis (Austin, TX)
