Mississippi High School Softball - DeSoto Central bounces New Hope

February 23, 2024: Columbus, MS 39702

The DeSoto Central Jaguars routed the host New Hope Trojans softball squad by a final score of 14-3 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Jaguars (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Lafayette (Oxford, MS). The Commodores go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Lafayette topped Independence (Independence, MS), 15-0, in a non-league battle.

The Trojans now possess a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hamilton for a non-league battle on Monday, February 26. New Hope will meet a Lions squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Nettleton (Nettleton, MS). The Lions record now stands at 3-1.
