The Lions now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Baldwin Park for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. El Monte will face a Braves squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Mountain View (El Monte, CA). The Braves record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, San Gabriel falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Matadors host Polytechnic (Pasadena, CA) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 27. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Polytechnic lost 18-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Mark Keppel (Alhambra, CA)
