Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Sumrall Bobcats (Sumrall, MS), 10-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Petal for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 24. Hernando will face a Panthers squad coming off a 16-2 non-league win over Mize (Mize, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Sumrall falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Stringer (Stringer, MS) to face the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 26. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Stringer lost 6-3 in their recent non-league challenge against South Jones (Ellisville, MS)
