The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lakewood Rangers (Lakewood, OH) and the visiting Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH), observed Lakewood's basketball team edge Mentor by a margin of 61-58.

The Rangers (14-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Steele (Amherst, OH). The Comets come into the non-league challenge with a 13-9 record. In their last challenge, Steele edged North Ridgeville (North Ridgeville, OH), 68-59, in a league challenge.
