Daphne Trojans (Daphne, AL) fans exited the stadium satisfied Monday as they witnessed their softball team tip the host Madison Central Jaguars (Madison, MS), 18-15 in a non-league match.
The Trojans (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Mobile Christian (Mobile, AL). The Leopards come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Mobile Christian nipped Mary G. Montgomery (Semmes, AL), 12-11, in a non-league game.
The Jaguars now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Kosciusko for a non-league game on Thursday, February 26. Madison Central will play a Whippets squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS). The Whippets record now stands at 1-7.
