The Nimitz Cougars the visiting Alief Elsik Rams softball squad by a count of 12-10 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against MacArthur (Houston, TX). The Generals go into the 6A Region II District 14 battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, MacArthur nudged Humble (Humble, TX), 7-5, in a non-league battle.

The Rams now sport a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Northside for a non-league battle on Friday, February 25.
