Spring Lions (Spring, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Channelview Falcons (Channelview, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montgomery for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. Spring will face a Bears squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Atascocita (Humble, TX). The Bears record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Channelview falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Falcons host Magnolia (Magnolia, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 24. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Magnolia won 16-5 in their recent league challenge against College Station (College Station, TX)
