Desert View Jaguars (Tucson, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mesquite Wildcats (Gilbert, AZ), 16-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Jaguars now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain View for a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. Desert View will battle a Toros squad coming off a 10-4 non-league win over Del Valle (El Paso, TX). The Toros record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Mesquite falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Catalina Foothills (Tucson, AZ) to battle the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 25. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Catalina Foothills lost 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Eastwood (El Paso, TX)
