The Vista Grande Spartans got by the visiting Riverside Rangers softball squad by a count of 11-10 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against San Manuel (San Manuel, AZ). The Miners go into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, San Manuel was edged by Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ), 12-1, in a non-league battle.

The Rangers now sport a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Marana for a non-league battle on Friday, February 25.
