In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Hoover Buccaneers baseball team scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Chaparral Firebirds.
The Buccaneers (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Corona del Sol (Tempe, AZ). The Aztecs go into the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Corona del Sol was edged by Ocean View (Huntington Beach, CA), 8-2, in a non-league game.
The Firebirds (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Orange Lutheran (Orange, CA). The Lancers go into the non-league game with a 5-0 record. In their last game, Orange Lutheran tipped Canyon View (Waddell, AZ), 4-2, in a non-league game.
